Med-Scribe Inc. is recruiting for a team of dedicated Registered Nurses for a fantastic temp to hire, remote opportunity! For 40 years, our client has partnered with federal, state and local governments to make public health insurance programs run effectively for the individuals and families they serve.  They are the national leader in providing government health plan enrollees and providers with independent appeal decisions of health insurance denials.

Many of our nurses find a case review to be an intellectually rewarding position and welcome an added dimension to their clinical activities.  In this role, your duties will include reviewing and evaluating proposed Medicare set-aside arrangements to determine if the proposed settlement meets the requirements established for beneficiaries and potential beneficiaries. You will then render a medical/clinical determination based on professional experience. This is a deadline-driven environment.  Strong analytical and writing skills are required.

Days/Hours:  Full time, temp to hire. Monday through Friday: an 8-hour shift between 8:00 am – 5:30 pm. 40 hours per week. Potential to work some hours from home once hired on permanently

Salary: $27/hour.  Benefits available.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required. You must have a valid NYS Nursing license. 3 years of related work experience required. Medical/Utilization Review experience preferred. Medicare Set-Aside Arrangement experience highly preferred. Experience with ICD 9/10 Codes, CPT Codes, and exposure to applying actual costs/workers compensation fee schedules preferred. Knowledge in Medicare Coverage guidelines, pharmacology, clinical practice guidelines, Utilization Review Standards and practices, state-specific workers’ compensation guidelines and pricing structure helpful.
