Float Medical Assistants, Receptionists and LPN's – Featured Job!

Med-Scribe, Inc. is a healthcare staffing service that for over 30 years has helped qualified medical professionals find rewarding positions in the Rochester area. 

As a member of Med-Scribe’s float staff, you will be a critical part of a team of healthcare professionals that provide coverage at offices throughout Monroe County. We are seeking Medical Assistants, Medical Receptionists, and LPN candidates to fill these full-time, permanent hire roles. This is a fantastic opportunity to get your foot in the door for Primary Care Offices associated with Rochester’s largest teaching hospital and expand your skill set, as you float among internal, family medicine, pediatric and women’s health offices throughout the greater Rochester area.

In this role, you will be assigned as a full time employee to a variety of medical offices we serve through Monroe, Genesee, Wayne, Ontario and Livingston counties to provide coverage when the office is in need.  You will enjoy a Monday through Friday work week, day hours, with no weekend or holidays required! LPN

Pay Rate: $30-35/HR depending on experience plus mileage reimbursement for qualifying offices.

Job Duties: As an LPN, you will perform a significant number of immunizations and procedures, such as EKG’s, inhalation treatments, preparation of history and review of medical records, vital signs, and injections/immunizations, and other duties as assigned within scope of practice.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours weekly

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be licensed and registered as a NYS LPN in good standing.
  • A minimum of six months experience in an outpatient/urgent care setting.
 

Medical Secretary

Pay Rate: $18/HR plus mileage reimbursement for qualifying offices.

Job Duties: As a medical receptionist, you will verify demographics/insurance coverage, collect patient payments, communicate effectively through electronic medical record (EMR) system, schedule patient appointments, answer a multi-line phone, maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations, copy, fax, and email documents, and other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours weekly

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of six months experience in an outpatient/urgent care setting.

Medical Assistant

Pay Rate: Starting at $20/HR plus mileage reimbursement for qualifying offices.

Job Duties: As a medical assistant, you will perform clinical duties such as rooming patients, taking vitals including EKG’s, setting up for procedures, and cleaning exam rooms. Clerical duties may be needed, such as verifying insurance coverage, collecting patient payments, scheduling appointments,  adhering to HIPAA regulations, and other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours weekly

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of six months experience in an outpatient/urgent care setting. 
  • An AAS in Medical Assisting OR Medical Assistant Certification is highly preferred.
