They are the national leader in providing government health plan enrollees and providers with independent appeal decisions of health insurance denials.
Many of our nurses find case review to be an intellectually rewarding position and welcome an added dimension to their clinical activities. In this role, you will facilitate the arbitration of denied Medicare claims for Durable Medical Equipment Claims. In doing so, you will summarize the facts of medical cases, review cases for pertinent issues, research relevant contract requirements and respond to all parties within appropriate time frames. This is a deadline-driven environment. Strong analytical and writing skills are required.
Days/Hours: Full time, 40 hours a week. Monday – Friday, an 8-hour shift between 7 AM and 5:00 PM. Working from home, you must be logged on for the full scheduled shift, with no outside distractions.
Salary: $20/hour.
Minimum Qualifications: You must have a valid NYS LPN license, and a minimum typing speed of 35 WPM is required. 2 years previous experience in a medical office environment. Previous medical record review experience is helpful.
Technical Requirements: Broadband/Cable internet is required with 80 megabits Download/3-5 megabits Upload capability with a direct connection to a modem where equipment and project information can be secured behind a closing door.
