Many of our nurses find case review to be an intellectually rewarding position and welcome an added dimension to their clinical activities.  In this role, you will facilitate the arbitration of denied Medicare claims for Durable Medical Equipment Claims.  In doing so, you will summarize the facts of medical cases, review cases for pertinent issues, research relevant contract requirements and respond to all parties within appropriate time frames. This is a deadline-driven environment.  Strong analytical and writing skills are required.

Days/Hours:  Full time, 40 hours a week. Monday – Friday, an 8-hour shift between 7 AM and 5:00 PM. Working from home, you must be logged on for the full scheduled shift, with no outside distractions.

Salary: $20/hour.

Minimum Qualifications:  You must have a valid NYS LPN  license, and a minimum typing speed of 35 WPM is required. 2 years previous experience in a medical office environment. Previous medical record review experience is helpful.

Technical Requirements: Broadband/Cable internet is required with 80 megabits Download/3-5 megabits Upload capability with a direct connection to a modem where equipment and project information can be secured behind a closing door.

Med-Scribe, Inc. is searching for candidates with previous healthcare experience in medical records, or health insurance, and experience with medical terminology to prepare documents for review by medical professionals. In this role, your primary duties will be reviewing and analyzing Independent medical review applications for worker’s compensation to determine eligibility, and determine the appropriate medical expert to complete the review of the case. We are seeking candidates with the ability to identify various medical records, use critical thinking skills in the evaluation of medical records, and accurately input data into the system.

Candidates must reside in New York State!

Days/HoursMonday through Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM.

Salary: $17.50/hour

Minimum Qualifications for this position include:

  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using telephone, email, and IM.
  • Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
  • Previous medical claims or transcription experience preferred.
  • Must have accurate data entry and proofreading skills.

Internet Requirements for position: Broadband/Cable internet is required with 80 megabits per second download capability and 3-5 megabits per second upload capability. Satellite internet is not an acceptable service provider for this project. Direct connection to a modem is highly recommended instead of WiFi. Equipment and project information must be in a secure location, behind a closed door.

Look no further – this position will allow you to fulfill your itch for travel, while also giving back to the community through Medicaid evaluations for pediatric, behavioral health clients.

This is a new program that will conduct Home and Community Based Services eligibility determinations. You will visit two client homes per day within your preferred counties, and prepare and submit all related documentation for those visits. Experience with behavioral health, pediatric and home care preferred.

Salary: $50/HR or $53/HR for Spanish Bilingual

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM-6PM, with some evenings or Saturday hours required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Home Care or 1 year of UAS experience is required.
  • Experience with pediatric populations is preferred.
  • Experience with behavioral health populations is preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills is required.
