We are in search of a Medical Billing Clerk to fill a 6-month temporary need at a prestigious hospital in Buffalo. This opportunity could really open doors for a newly certified Medical Biller who is eager to learn and dive into the field!
You will be responsible for the following as well as any other duties as assigned:
- Preparing claims/statements for patients, insurance carriers, and state and federal agencies according to billing specifications.
- Preparing and completing inquiries concerning patient accounts to various internal departments.
- Contacting insurance carriers, state and/or federal agencies concerning patients’ accounts.
- Recording, maintaining, and analyzing reports or data pertinent to the processing or finalization of patients’ accounts.
This position is a 6-month temporary assignment beginning as soon as possible. The hours are Monday through Friday either from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM. No overtime hours. The pay rate is $15.86/hr. with benefits including health insurance, paid holidays, vision insurance, and PTO time.
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma and either a Medical Billing Certification or at least one year of full-time medical billing experience and follow-up procedures. Some clinical experience preferred.
