This is a unique direct hire position, pay depending on years of experience. The position is responsible to assist with the workflow of the weekend nursing team providing care for patient in their home. This is a Direct hire position for a growing home care agency. Working full-time and must be available to work Thursdays (8:30am-5pm), Fridays (1pm-9pm), Saturdays and Sundays (8:30am-5pm). To be effective in this role you, you must have excellent customer service skills and great attention to detail. A candidate with knowledge of medical terminology, medical secretary and or home care with home care scheduling experience is preferred, must have strong verbal communications, and customer service skills.

Performs case management assistance as directed by the Team Manager/designee which includes, but is not limited to: communicate between agency departments, PHV, patients, payers, laboratories and referral sources. Verbal orders and clarification on order will be performed by LPNs only in this position. Produce reports as needed, respond to telephone calls. Assists with expanded hours visit requests. Track equipment as requested. Monitor for paperwork completion. Participate in team meetings and on task forces as requested. Participate in quality assurance activities as needed. Assist with scheduling of patient visits as needed.
Any other duties/functions as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of an approved program of study in medical secretarial science, or equivalent education.
At least four years’ experience as a medical secretary or its equivalent.
Medical terminology required.
Must have ability to travel.
Demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills.
Good interpersonal skills and telephone manner.
EMR / Computer skills required.
