This is a direct hire position for an RN with a strong background in Quality Assurance to manage a Quality Assurance Program that monitors and identifies problems/solutions in the provision of clinical assessment reviews by a team of nurses. In this role you will develop policies on the ground-floor of a new program serving the children of NYS. Will continuously evaluate the quality of services and client satisfaction and ensure the provision of necessary training. Will provide dissemination of policies/development of new policies to ensure the success of the program. Will be responsible for reporting weekly and monthly project status reports. Must collaborate well with the team and serve as expert for all QA and Compliance issues.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned QA/Risk Management Nurse to take a pivotal role in the development of staff within a new NYS program designed to facilitate the evaluation of children throughout NYS for needed programs and services. This is a very rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new program.
For this role you must be a seasoned and successful leader, must be able to manage project reviews and direct process improvement initiatives. Must have strong communication and staff development skills.
- Required Education A Bachelor’s in Nursing, MS preferred.
- Required Experience Two (2) or more years of RN experience in medical, psychiatric, behavioral, and/or ambulatory care required
Preferred Experience Two or more (2) years previous experience in Quality Assurance and Risk Management in psychiatric and/or behavioral health settings conducting peer reviews.
- Required Skills: Strong leadership skills; ability to conduct and manage project reviews and communicate process improvement recommendations; proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products; excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment; ability to work as a team member, as well as independently
